Oiling Blades During A Groom And Using A Spray Coolant Also
Describes how to apply oil to clipper blades while grooming WITHOUT getting any oil on the coat, and using a spray coolant to first cool the blade. He shows the technique in detail that has to be followed to cool the back of the blade and oil the teeth. Keeping the clipper OFF while applying the coolant is the safest way to use them (see MSDS).
Oiling blades during your groom will keep the friction down, which keeps the heat down, and will save the cutting edges of your blades longer. It will also help control the over-use of spray coolants.
